Cox Group completes the last step to take control of the Sevillian engineering company. According to the company, the contract for the acquisition of the autonomous production units of the Abengoa Group for which it was awarded the contract was recently formalised before a notary in Seville.
In this process, which has counted on the collaboration of all the parties involved, the renewable energy group chaired by Enrique Riquelme highlighted the support received from the workers and trade union organisations, as well as from the public administrations, the insolvency administrator (EY) and the banks for its project and Business Plan (Santander, Caixabank, Crédit Agricole, BBVA, Bankinter, and HSBC).
Montero Aramburu’s team was led by partner Ana Gamero, who counted on the support of lawyers Óscar Romero Agudo and José María Méndez Hernández.
According to the information, Ramón y Cajal has also advised Abengoa, while Medina Cuadros advised Cox Energy on the transaction.
