In the last two years, Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives has completed five acquisitions to strengthen its position as the world’s third largest player in the field of self-adhesive materials and a global force in the wine label industry. Now, in addition to these five deals, the Spanish company DIVIPA has joined the Group.
Fedrigoni, a leader in the production of high value-added special papers for packaging, publishing, and graphics, as well as premium labels and self-adhesive materials.
DIVIPA (Distribuidora Vizcaina de Papeles S.L) is based in Derio, a few kilometres from Bilbao, and has been developing, producing and distributing self-adhesive materials since 1971. Building on its production capacity and forty years of experience, we will work to create strong synergies in terms of production and procurement.
“We welcome our new colleagues at DIVIPA, who will join the 4,000 people already part of the Fedrigoni workforce,” the company stated.
Latham & Watkins advised Fredigoni with a cross-border multidisciplinary team team led by Corporate partner José Antonio Sánchez-Dafos, and including Corporate associates María del Pilar Villanueva, Marta Portuondo and Álvaro Mata, Real Estate associate Marta Ortiz de Zárate and Labour associate Guillermo Ruiz de Salazar.
A Milan office team also advised on this deal, comprising Cataldo Piccarreta, Martina Ferraris, Eleonora Baggiani, Federica Di Terlizzi, Eleonora Toffoli and Margherita Girardi.
