KPMG Abogados acted as exclusive legal advisor in Spain of the Swedish company Plenius AB on its first acquisition in Spain, Controlnet Web, S.L., a Spanish company based in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) that provides professional consulting services, development of computer programs and software for companies operating in the telecommunications sector.
Plenius AB is part of Dr. Saeid Esmaeilzadeh’s group of companies in Sweden that invests in led entrepreneur-driven companies offer software solutions and niche IT consulting services. The acquisition of Controlnet Web, S.L. is the first of various envisaged acquisitions that that Plenius AB intends to carry out in a very short period of time, and allows it to start having presence in the Spanish market.
Morten Duwe, CEO and co-founder of Plenius, said: “Controlnet is a company that will grow in the future, as they have a very good product that they continue to improve. In addition to the great motivation they have for wanting to continue growing.” Regarding the acquisition, Duwe said that Controlnet is a company with very good margins thanks to its product, the software that the company has been developing and improving: “In 2020, it demonstrated with its turnover a great resistance to COVID-19″, an aspect that, together with the team that makes up Controlnet Web S.L., the Swedish company values.”
The legal team from KPMG Abogados that advised the purchaser on the transaction was formed by Corporate/M&A partner Rafael Aguilar, together with senior manager Emma Tavila, and associate Guillermo Obradors.
