Kepa Larumbe is the only Spanish member representing the TAS/CAS Tribunal Arbitral du Sport / Court of Arbitration for Sport / Tribunal Arbitral del Deporte to seek the arbitral resolution of disputes during the World Cup in Qatar.
This panel is to decide as soon as possible, and by videoconference, on any disciplinary matter affecting the conduct of the World Cup and on any sanction imposed by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, upheld by Appeal and reaching this last sporting legal body.
For the period of the FIFA World Cup, the International Council of Arbitration
for Sport (ICAS) has established an ad hoc Division of the CAS, the function of which is to provide for the resolution by arbitration of the disputes.
Kepa is a director in BDO Spain Legal department. He is a specialist in Sports Law with extensive experience in managing litigation before sports administrative bodies (Consejo Superior de Deportes and Tribunal Administrativo del Deporte), international arbitration bodies (Court of Arbitration for Sport based in Lausanne, Switzerland) and before Courts of Justice in the areas of Administrative, Civil and Labour Litigation. Kepa is a member of the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body and before joining BDO, Kepa worked as director of the Legal Department of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
