The fintech specialised in credit and asset management services Intrum has divided its Legal and Compliance departments and has appointed a new head for the Legal area in Spain, Noelia Palacios, while the Compliance department will be led by Carlos Ruiz, who until now headed both divisions.
With the reinforcement of these areas, the company seeks to give greater relevance and specialization to these matters, which it considers “key” in the transformation process it is carrying out in all the countries in which it operates. Both Palacios and Ruiz will report to the CEO of Intrum Spain, José Luis Bellosta.
Palacios now assumes responsibility for managing, coordinating and supervising legal activity at the corporate level after joining the company in 2020. Prior to that date, she was Legal & Compliance manager, and previously she worked in multinationals in various sectors, such as Samsung or Grupo Gransolar, as well as at Uría Menéndez in the firm´s Commercial department.
Carlos Ruiz has been the head of the group´s Legal & Compliance area in Spain since 2012, when he joined the company from MA Abogados, along with its real estate servicers Solvia and Aktua.
