Intrum brings NPL director from Deloitte

Fintech Intrum has signed Santiago Casado as its new NPL director in Spain, joining from Deloitte

Intrum has hired Santiago Casado, from Deloitte, as the company’s new director of non-performing loans (NPLs) in Spain. During his almost 20 years of experience in the sector, he has participated in and led projects to capture and manage NPL and REO portfolios in companies such as Deloitte, Copernicus, Alantra and Savills, among others. He holds a degree in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, a Master´s degree in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles and an Executive MBA from IESE.

Santiago Casado will be responsible for leading the company’s NPL business strategy, creating alliances with clients and industry players and strengthening Intrum’s value proposition in this area.

“The addition of Santiago Casado to our team will undoubtedly help us to strengthen our value proposition in the management of NPLs and maintain our leadership position. In an economic context like the current one, Intrum’s high degree of specialisation in the management of SME services is a great asset for our clients. Santiago’s arrival on the team as the new head of NPL will help us to leverage these capabilities even further,” said José Luis Bellosta, CEO of Intrum in Spain.

Intrum has also restructured its Legal and Compiance department, as announced by Legal Dealmaker.
