P101 continues to invest in Spanish startups. The Venture Capital fund founded by Andrea Di Camillo acted as lead investor in the new €2 million round of Civitfun Hospitality, which develops software to support online check-in for hotels.
The round will allow Civitfun Hospitality to expand its team, as well as strengthen its already solid position in Spain and continue on its expansion path. Added to this is the launch of Civitfun Hub, a proposal created to eliminate barriers in the tourism sector, allowing operating companies (OTAs, tour operators, reservation systems, chatbots, apps, among others) to integrate their online check-in systems with the main PMS (property management systems) through a single integration with the Civitfun Hub API (application programming interface).
To date, several online agencies, including Booking.com, and important European tour operators are already using Civitfun Hospitality systems. Given the agreements currently in place, Civitfun aims to exceed 2 million new hotel rooms under management by 2022.
According to the company, the capital increase will allow it to move more and more towards 100% digital and online check-in and check-out of hotels and chains. Civitfun´s goal is to strengthen its leadership by expanding its presence in Europe and Latin America where it is already present.”The Spanish company says it is confident that Civitfun Hub is “a revolution for all players in the sector, which will help us to make ourselves known and grow,” said Mariano de Oleza, CEO of Civitfun Hospitality.
ILV Silver advised P101 with a team led by partner Jeff Singer.
P101 made also a recent investment in Spain in MundiMoto, as informed by Legal Dealmaker on March 3, advised by Bird & Bird.
