Eurofins has announced its acquisition of Laboratorio Convet, S.L., with the aim of strengthening our production activity in the animal feed and health sector.
The incorporation to Eurofins, will allow Convet to reinforce its current capacities through the support of the different laboratories that our Agro Food and Feed Division has both in Spain and internationally.
Convet has an excellent human team specialised in the field of Animal Health and Food Safety. In its more than 30 years of work, Convet has become a reference laboratory in the Spanish animal feed sector, as is endorsed by its accreditations and recognitions at national and international level.
It currently holds UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 accreditation as a testing laboratory for testing feed and its raw materials, food and water as well as GMP+ B11 and is a laboratory recognised by GAFTA (Grain and Feed Trade Association).
With this new acquisition, included in our strategic plan, we have a specific production centre for specialised services in the Feed sector, which will allow us to develop our client portfolio at a national level.
The Eurofins network of specialised laboratories accredited by ENAC in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard is the most important in the national market (Murcia, Madrid, Barcelona, Lleida, Almería, Pamplona, Castellón, Tenerife, Vigo, Gran Canaria, Seville, Bilbao, Palma de Mallorca, Gerona and now a new centre in Lleida).
Eurofins is a company founded in Nantes in 1987, following the development of the SNIF-NMR technology in collaboration with the University of Nantes in France. This patented method was a breakthrough in the detection of food fraud in wine and was later extended to other foods.
The Eurofins Group currently employs more than 50,000 people in more than 800 laboratories in 50 countries. We offer more than 200,000 analytical methods in the fields of food safety, composition, authenticity, origin and purity of food products as well as in the areas of environment, pharmaceuticals and clinical diagnostics.
