IFLR1000 selects 15 Women Leaders in Spain

IFLR1000 has announced IFLR1000 Women Leaders, an elite ranking category reserved for the most prominent women lawyers across the world working in the areas of law IFLR1000 researches, with 15 lawyers selected in Spain

IFLR1000, the guide to the world’s leading financial and corporate law firms, has announced the Spain IFLR1000 Women Leaders for 2022, recognising the work of all the outstanding women in the Legal sector. This fifth edition is the most comprehensive yet, featuring around 1000 lawyers globally, a 33% increase from the number of lawyers recognized last year.  

IFLR1000 Women Leaders is an elite ranking category reserved for the most prominent women lawyers across the world working in the areas of law IFLR1000 researches. This is an exclusive group of lawyers with outstanding reputations within their markets who either have expertise and experience of working on complex deals, or who have risen to hold leadership roles with their firms or their practices. For some individuals both these things are true. 

The list, organised by law firm (in the picture from left to right, starting from the top), is as follows:

  • María José Menéndez, partner and head of Corporate for CEMEA at Ashurst.
  • Yolanda Azanza, Financial Regulation, Capital Markets and Banking & Finance partner at Clifford Chance.

  • Fedra Valencia, Restructuring, Insolvency ans Special Situations partner at Cuatrecasas.
  • Ana López, Finance and Capital Markets partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
  • Mónica Martín de Vidales, partner and co-head of the Corporate/Commercial department at Garrigues.
  • Naiara Bueno, Corporate/Commercial partner at Garrigues.
  • Verónica Romaní, partner and head of Energy and Banking & Finance department at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.
  • Paloma Fierro, Financial Regulation partner and Global co-head of Diversity at Linklaters.
  • Carmen Burgos, Corporate partner and head of Spanish TMT and IP practice at Liniklaters.
  • Carmen Reyna, Corporate partner at Pérez-Llorca.
  • Carolina Albuerne, Corporate/Commercial partner at Uría Menéndez.
  • María Pilar García Guijarro, Corporate/M&A partner and head of the Madrid office at Watson Farley & Williams.
  • Yoko Takagi, Corporate partner at White & Case.
