Marcos is a corporate lawyer who specialises in domestic and cross-border M&A with a particular focus on private capital. He advises large and mid-market private equity funds, corporates and distressed operators on a wide range of matters, including LBO, MBO, cross-border acquisitions, non-performing loan deals, incentive plans to key managers, restructuring and refinancing.
He has a law degree and a diploma in Business administration and management from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) de Madrid. He also holds a master’s degree in Law (LLM) by Instituto de Empresa (Spain) and a master’s degree in Business law from Boston College University (USA). He is a professor at IE teaching various programs (cross-border M&A, private equity, among others). Prior to joining the firm, he worked at another international law firm in Madrid. He is a member of the Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid (ICAM – Madrid Bar Association).
Alejandra works with clients in insurance coverage disputes and in civil and commercial litigation matters. She specialises in insurance and reinsurance disputes defending clients in the energy, engineering, and construction sectors. She has broad experience as well in product liability claims and environmental liability matters.
She acts as an advocate before the Spanish civil and criminal courts and as counsel to mediation and arbitration. Alejandra has assisted policyholders and insurers in international dispute resolution matters with extensive experience in a wide variety of Latin American jurisdictions. She has assisted in adapting to the Spanish market foreign policies in different types of underlying risks, from CAR/EAR policies to professional indemnity, cyber and contingency risks, product liability and recall policies, among others.
