Sara joins the team led by partner Ignacio Sánchez González.
Sara Sanz Castillo comes from Uría Menéndez where she joined in 2013 and has been a senior associate of the firm since 2021. In 2019 she was seconded to the Amsterdam office of De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, in the Regulatory Enforcement team.
She has more than 7 years of experience advising both companies and their managers and employees in criminal proceedings of various types (Tax offences, Corporate offences, environmental offences and offences relating to the marketing of financial products, among others).
She also advises on the development and implementation of compliance models for the prevention of criminal liability of legal entities and on the development of internal investigations (both national and multi-jurisdictional).
She is a Law and Business Administration and Management graduate from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) and she also holds an expert degree in Property Criminal Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
She is an associate lecturer at the CEU San Pablo University, where she teaches Criminal Procedural Law with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Business Administration and Management.
