Rocío Quirante is a lawyer specialising in Industrial and Intellectual Property, Trademarks, Designs, Plant Variety Rights, Patents, Guarantee Signs (Designations of Origin and Geographical Indications) and Data Protection (DPO). She started her carrer at Garrigues as a trainee, and joined the European Parliament as a representative at European Intellectual Property Institute Network (EIPIN), enforcing Intellectual Property in Trade and Investment Agreements.
She has worked at some of the most prestigious IP law firms in Spain. In 2018 she joined Ballester IP, to be later hired by BALDER IP and finally by PONS IP in 2021.
At PONS IP she provided Legal assistance in court, assistance and preparation of court hearings in Industrial and Intellectual Property and Unfair Competition matters, preparation of judicial and procedural briefs (civil and administrative), both at first instance and on appeal and cassation before the Supreme Court. She has experience in management and preparation of domain name recovery proceedings (UDRP WIPO), preparation of injunctions, and responses and out-of-court negotiations. She advises and drafs strategy in Industrial Property matters for both national and international clients.
Rocío holds a Law degree from Universidad de Alicante, as well as a Master´s degree in Intellectual Property from the same institution. She teaches Industrial & Intellectual Property, Competition and New Technologies at ISDE Law & Business School.
