Grenergy adds senior Legal counsel from EDPR

Grenergy has hired María Elosúa de Madariaga as a senior Legal counsel, joining from EDP Renewables

María is a senior Lawyer with 11 years of experience, eigth years in international law firm Clifford Chance (where within Banking & Finance practice and three years as Legal lead associate in the Business Development Corporate Legal team of EDPR, mainly working together with procurement, engineering, finance and energy management teams.

She now joins Spanish renewables company Grenergy as senior Legal counsel, under the direction of the company´s head of Legal Álvaro Ruiz.

She holds extensive experience in Project Finance and Corporate Finance, PPAs, procurement and engineering (Procurement and Engineering: negotiation of EPCs, BOS, BOP, O&M, SET, MOUs, services agreements). At Cliford Chance, she was seconded to the Retail Business Banking department of Barclays Bank.

María holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, with an exchange programme at Tecnológico de Monterrey and the University of Fribourg.
