Elona Capital has received the CNMV authorisation to become a SGEIC. The company now becomes Elona Capital Partners SGEIC SA.
Elona is an independent investment and asset management firm focused on the renewable photovoltaic sector in Spain and Portugal
SGEICs are limited companies (S.A.) whose corporate purpose is to manage the investments of one or more ECRs and/or EICCs and to monitor and manage their risks.A strict regime for obtaining CNMV authorisation is established for these entities.
“We are very pleased to announce that we have been successfully approved and registered as General Partner (SGEIC) by the Spanish regulator (CNMV). This is a key milestone for Elona Capital, and we look forward to commence the launch of our first private equity investment fund (FCR) fully focused on Renewable Energy,” the company said in a statement.
Garrigues advised Elona Capital with a team made up of partner Luis de la Peña, senior associate Francesc Cholvi, and lawyers Jaime Campos Ventureira and Álvaro López Prieto.
