Invenergy Services has recently announced that it is starting operations in Spain. It enters the Spanish market through the acquisition of the Spanish company HUSO, which specialises in the installation, management, and maintenance of wind farms.
Through this transaction, Invenergy Services demonstrates its particular interest in the Spanish market while expanding its global operational footprint. It also increases its Asset Management operations for third-party renewable energy projects and enhances its capacity to carry out large Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services.
John Majewski, senior vice president, Third-Party Services at Invenergy Services, stated: “The Spanish wind market is expected to add almost 10 GW by 2026, and the solar market is expected to add 29 GW during the same period.
“As this sector is undergoing a massive expansion, Invenergy Services has the expertise to assist in the efficient growth of O&M and management services for HUSO’s clients globally and to continue its support in Spain,” adds Majewski.
Invenergy Services believes that the deal will also enable enhanced construction, operation, and management capabilities for renewable asset owners across Europe.
Garrigues’ team advising Invenergy on this transaction was led by partners Carlos Rapallo and José María Cobos and principal associate Nicolás Clark.
