Garrigues has advised Córdoba-based Vidrierías Pérez Campos on its sale to Berlin Packaging, world´s largest Hybrid Packaging Supplier

-

Berlin Packaging, the world’s largest Hybrid Packaging Supplier, announced the acquisition of Vidrierías Pérez Campos SL, a family-owned Spanish distributor of glass packaging for the olive oil, home fragrance and spirits markets.

Founded in 1987 and based in Rute (Córdoba) in southern Spain, Vidrierías Pérez Campos serves numerous local customers with high quality glass packaging solutions. The acquisition expands Berlin Packaging’s market coverage in Iberia and gives Pérez Campos’ customers access to Berlin Packaging’s wide range of products. The company’s managing director, Juan de Dios Pérez, will remain with the company, bringing his in-depth knowledge of the business and his extensive experience in the glass sector.

“The olive oil industry is key to the Iberian market. The strategic acquisition of Vidrierías Pérez Campos extends our coverage to the south of Spain. In addition, the company has expertise in home fragrances and spirits, other important target markets for Berlin Packaging,” said Paolo Recrosio, CEO of Berlin Packaging EMEA.

“We have been providing packaging solutions for the olive oil, home fragrance and spirits markets for more than 30 years. Becoming part of Berlin Packaging is an important step in the development of the company,” said Juan de Dios Pérez, Managing Director of Vidrierías Pérez Campos.

Pérez Campos is the third acquisition Berlin Packaging has completed in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) in 2022 and the fifth acquisition in 2022.

Garrigues advised Vidrierías Pérez Campos on this deal with a Málaga office team formed by Corporate partner Rafael Paniza, and principal associates Alberto García Luque (Corporate) and Antonio Fernández Carrasco (Tax).
