Juan de Dios Nieto and Elías Horcajo are State Tax Inspectors -on leave of absence-, with a long career in the service of the Tax Agency, where they have held different positions of responsibility.
Nieto holds a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and has served as head of the Selection Unit of the Central Delegation of Large Taxpayers (DCGC), a position from which he joins the firm, and previously as an Inspector in the Technical Office of the same Delegation. He is also a well-known lecturer, Direct Taxation and Tax procedures professor at prestigious institutions such as ESADE and the Barcelona College of Economists, and a regular lecturer and author of works in his speciality.
Horcajo holds a degree in General Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and has held positions of responsibility in the Tax Agency as regional head of the Financial and Tax Inspection of Castilla La Mancha, and previously as regional head of Tax Management in Extremadura. He has also developed during his professional career an important academic work as a Taxation professor in Tax specialisation courses for different institutions such as the Madrid College of Economists or the Centre for Legal Studies, and is a regular speaker at numerous conferences and seminars on taxation.
With his incorporation, the firm’s Tax department now has 10 partners and more than 60 professionals.
