The Council of Ministers approved on 25 March, after the proposal of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) for the Digitalisation of the Water Cycle, a tool to transform and modernise the water management systems in our country, both in the urban cycle and in irrigation and industry. The project will mobilise more than €3,000 million euros between public and private funds and will create around 3,500 jobs, opening up new professional niches in the sector.
In this regard, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo’s team has advised the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge on the implementation of the PERTE for the Digitalisation of the Water Cycle with a team led by the law firm’s of counsel Juan Romero Sánchez and Eduardo Orteu, and associate Ignacio Álvarez Serrano.
