GA_P advises Serpis on its sale to Miura for €50m

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised the food group Cándido Miró (Aceitunas Serpis), a pioneering group in Spain in the manufacture and marketing of anchovy-stuffed olives, on the sale of a majority stake to Spanish private equity fund Miura Partners

The acquisition of this majority stake in Serpis by Miura aims to accelerate the growth and internationalisation of the company, as well as to boost its innovation. It also represents a new private equity operation in the food sector in Spain.

Aceitunas Serpis (Cándido Miró S.A.) is a leading Alicante family business in the olive sector, with an important presence in both the domestic and international market, and became the first national brand to market olives stuffed with anchovy.

The deal value has been €50 million according to Expansion.

GA_P advised Serpis with a team led by Corporate/Commercial partner and head of the firm´s Valencia office Francisco Fita, together with Corporate associates Carla Sancho-Tello and Belén Pina.
