GA_P advises Pedrollo on majority acquisition of Bombas Saci

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised world renowned Italian electric pump company Pedrollo Group on its acquisition of a majority stake in Spain´s Bombas Saci

Italy´s Pedrollo Group announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Bombas Saci, a Spanish company based in Barcelona (Granollers), specialised in the design, manufacture and distribution of swimming pool pumps.

With this deal, Pedrollo Group expands its portfolio of swimming pool pumps and strengthens its presence in the Spanish market enhancing growth opportunities for both companies.

Saci Pumps’ revenues are projected to total some €27 million in 2022. When combined with the Group’s strong organic growth (over 10% compared to 2021), Pedrollo is on the path to achieving turnover over €420 million with over 3 million electric pumps sold.

The acquisition will strengthen Pedrollo Group’s penetration in the Iberian market and significantly expand the range of pool pumps offered to customers worldwide. The acquisition of the Spanish company confirms the strategy adopted by Pedrollo to strengthen its direct presence in important global markets and to implement intra-group synergies. 

Pedrollo Group was advised by Gómez-Acebo & Pombo with a team led by Madrid office Corporate M&A partner Rubén Ferrer, along with lawyer Javier Reina.

Other advisors to Pedrollo included TLA Advisory and K&L Gates with partners Simone Pasetto and Arturo Meglio respectively.
