Loyal Guru secures an additional €8 million in Series A funding led by Nauta Capital. Loyal Guru, a B2B SaaS company that operates as the world’s only Customer Data Platform for retailers with integrated loyalty modules, has secured an €8 million Series A round from venture capital manager Nauta Capital. The company has experienced extraordinary growth since its launch in 2016 and previously received funding from investors such as Greycroft and THCap.

Loyal Guru provides a next-generation cloud-based solution that revolutionises the retail space with hyper-personalised, omnichannel loyalty solutions. Headquartered in Barcelona, Spain and with clients in 12 countries, Loyal Guru helps drive the digital transformation of clients such as Mango, Dia Group, Cencosud and Spar.

The latest investment round will enable Loyal Guru to further its growth ambitions in Europe and the Americas and continue to develop its market-leading platform.

Borja Sanfeliu, CEO and co-founder at Loyal Guru, said: “We are delighted with this second round of investment, having started the business with equity capital until 2019. Our new partner, Nauta Capital, brings deep expertise in B2B SaaS technologies and a team that has worked in our core European market. They are extremely well aligned with our business, and their expertise and support will be vital as we continue to help retailers and supermarkets around the world drive growth.”

Jordi Viñas, partner at Nauta Capital, added: “Loyal Guru has already demonstrated a strong track record of innovation and growth. The retail industry is ready for digital transformation, but lacks solutions designed specifically for retailers: we are confident that Loyal Guru is well-positioned to take advantage of the opportunities on offer as it creates a unique, customer-centric approach to retail across all channels.”

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo’s team was led by partner Álex Pujol and junior associate Mònica Martells.
