With this acquisition, the group strengthens its position in the dolls category at the European level.

The Giochi Preziosi Group, an Italian multinational with more than 40 years of history, is currently one of the largest European players in the traditional toy industry.

“We are very pleased to welcome Arias Dolls to our family. We believe this acquisition will provide us with a bright future. The Giochi Preziosi Group is once again demonstrating its ability to select and incorporate assets that continue to create value for the company and are capable of forging a solid and lasting future. The market environment is currently difficult, but the group is committed to continuing to invest in the future,” acknowledged Giochi Preziosi Group Chairman Enrico Preziosi.

For his part, the CEO of Muñecas Arias, Kiko Arias, said he was “very excited” about this new venture that will allow the company to continue growing. “After 45 years of hard work, started by our parents, José Antonio Arias and María-Luisa Martínez, we have realised that in order to take our brand a step further, we needed help from outside,” he explained.

GA_P advised Giochi Preziosi on the transaction with a team formed by partner Pablo Fernández Cortijo, associate Mónica Ojeda, and PMA Mònica Montoro (all from Corporate and M&A practice), of counsel Lourdes Escassi, senior associate Delia Castaños, associates Jesús Tallos, and Silvana Zarzar (all from Labour area), Industrial, Intellectual Property and Technology associates Isabela Crespo, Elisa Gómez-Bernardo, and Public Law associates Marta Rey and Ester Abascal.
