Freshfields hires DR lawyer from Hogan Lovells

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has hired Carmen Tapia, who joins fro Hogan Lovells, as a lawyer in the firm´s Dispute Resolution department

Carmen Tapia started her career as a practising lawyer at Hogan Lovells in 2018, after a few internships at top tier law firms. As an associate in the firm´s Dispute Resolution department, she has experience in General Litigation practice: legal defense and representation in all types of legal proceedings as a whole, from the pre-contentious phase, to the design of the legal strategy, to appearing before the Court and drafting of appeals.

She also has experience in Product Liability Litigation, as well as in Insurance practice (i.e. legal defense in professional liability litigation, legal defense in administrative and civil proceedings regarding surety insurances, advice to insurance companies on the interpretation of coverage of D&O policies, civil liability and damages). Carmen also provides advice on Regulatory practice to pharmaceutical and medical devices companies (i.e. compliance of pharmacovigilance/vigilance system duties, clinical trials and advertising) and advice to insurance companies (i.e. insurance activity, insurance distribution activity, policy content, legislative changes).

Carmen holds a double degree in Law and Business Adminstration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICAI-ICADE E-3), and also a Master´s degree in Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
