Ex-GA_P joins ECIJA as TMT manager from Incubhealth

ECIJA has hired ex-GA_P Manuel de Torres Navarrete as a TMT (IP/IT) manager, who joins from Incubhealth, where he was Chief Legal Officer

Manuel de Torres holds 18 years of professional experience as an IP/IT lawyer. He started his career at Pintó Ruiz & del Valle, and joined Cuatrecasas in 2017 in the firm´s Industrial and Intellectual Property and Data Protection department, where he spent 6 years. He later joined Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, where he was head of the Brand Protection Section in the firm´s Industrial and Intellectual Property department until 2020, when he joined the Incubhealth Group, which includes Incubhelath, S.L. and Medivtik, S.L.

Manuel holds a Law degree from Universidad Pontificia Comillas and a Master´s degree in Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights and Information Society from Universidad de Alicante.

He is author of various specialised articles., as well as speaker in several conferences regarding Industrial and Intellectual Property rights, Unfair Competition and Data Protection. He is also a member of the International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property (AIPPI) and active participant in its work groups.

He was awarded as #1 Lawyer in Madrid and #4 Lawyer in Spain for the prosecution of IP crimes (2020), Rising Star in Trademarks (LEGAL 500 -year 2020-), Rising Star (IP STARS -year 2019-) and Next Generation Lawyer in Trademarks (LEGAL 500 -years 2018 and 2019-).
