Ejaso adds partner to lead Compliance

Ejaso has hired María Victoria Vega Sánchez, a specialist in Economic Criminal Law and Regulatory Compliance, as a partner to lead the firm's department in this area

From 1997 to 2011, María Victoria worked at El Corte Inglés, where she managed and implemented the Group’s regulatory compliance. Subsequently, she founded her own firm, VDT Abogados, until she joined Ejaso, which, according to the press release, is one of the top 15 firms in terms of national turnover.

María Victoria Vega says that she faces this professional challenge “with the greatest enthusiasm”, joining a firm “with many years of recognised prestige in the legal world and joining a team of excellent lawyers such as Iván Matamoros Mullor, partner and head of the Criminal Law department, and Alejandro Falero Rato, partner and head of the Litigation and Arbitration department of the firm.”

Highly specialised in Economic Criminal Law, with special mention to the crimes of Money Laundering and Tax Fraud, she has defended and prosecuted in proceedings of maximum legal relevance in the National Court and in Compliance after having carried out the criminal liability compliance programmes of the legal person for numerous relevant companies in the country and is a pioneer in the “Cibercompliance” protocols for “Cloud Computing”.
