ECIJA helps Acuamed with its Criminal Compliance system

ECIJA has advised Acuamed on the implementation of a Criminal Compliance system and external management of its whistleblowing channel as an anti-corruption measure

-

The state-owned company Aguas de las Cuencas Mediterráneas (Acuamed) has awarded ECIJA the renewal and improvement of its compliance and criminal risk prevention system, which also includes the external management of its whistleblowing channel in order to comply with all the guarantees set out in the new whistleblowing regulations.

The aim is to update Acuamed’s internal regulations related to compliance – risk map, code of ethics and conduct and anti-fraud plan – as a key element in its fight against corruption.

The state-owned company Acuamed is the main instrument of the Ministry for Ecological Transition for the development of hydraulic actions in the Mediterranean basins. Actions of general interest are being carried out in the Segura, Júcar, Ebro, Andalusian Mediterranean Basin and Internal Basins of Catalonia.

ECIJA Regulatory Compliance partners César Zárate and Juan Eugenio Tordesillas lead this project.
