ECIJA, Garrigues advise on EinzelNet sale to Swiss fund Ufenau

ECIJA has advised technology company Einzelnet on its sale to Swiss private equity firm Ufenau Capital Partners, counselled by Garrigues

Ufenau has completed its first investment for the Ufenau VII fund by acquiring a majority stake in EinzelNet. The company is a leading full-service provider of digitalisation and IT services, specialising in infrastructure, cloud and workplace solutions.

The founders and management team of EinzelNet have co-invested significantly alongside Ufenau and will continue to lead the business in its next phase of growth. The EinzelNet team will continue its successful growth strategy, now complemented by Ufenau’s financial and inorganic growth capabilities.

With over 20 years of experience and more than 100 professionals working from 3 locations in Spain (Madrid, Valencia, and Pamplona), EinzelNet supports its customers in successfully solving their technology challenges through tailor-made infrastructure and mobility solutions, with a customer service-oriented organisation of experienced, world-class specialists. EinzelNet is one of the largest independent specialists in Spain and has a loyal base of prestigious customers, including private companies and public entities.

The company has grown steadily since its founding in 2003, strengthening its capabilities and value proposition, and is able to offer its customers end-to-end digitalisation and IT solutions.

José Gil, CEO of EinzelNet, said: “I am delighted to have found the ideal partner in Ufenau for the renewed version of EinzelNet that we are already building together. The unique team that we have built up over the years welcomes with open arms the enormous contribution that our new travelling companion is making. It is an absolutely fundamental contribution to developing, together, a much more powerful EinzelNet, both in terms of portfolios and geographies, capable of being closer to our clients, of offering them more and better solutions and all of this with a clear and ambitious international vocation. The challenge could not be more exciting.”

Through the transaction, Ufenau has completed its first investment platform of its Ufenau VII fund. The transaction has been advised by ECIJA and Garrigues on the legal side, and PwC and CS Corporate on the financial side.

On the ECIJA side, partner Borja Díaz-Guerra has led this transaction together with partner Alonso Hurtado.

On the Garrigues side, advising Ufenau, the team has been led by partners Ildefonso Polo and Javier de Rojas, along with senior associates Jesus Fariza and Alejandra Abal and associate Estrella Pulido.
