SIA, the cybersecurity company of Minsait (Indra), has acquired the Extremadura-based Mobbeel to “grow in digital identity services”, the company said in a statement.
The acquired company, based in Cáceres, is one of the “most advanced” companies in the field of digital identity verification through biometric recognition solutions with a presence in more than 30 countries and 60% of international customers. Mobbeel has implemented its solutions in sectors such as banking, insurance, telecommunications, automotive, and tourism.
The CEO of SIA, Luis Álvarez, highlighted the key role that protection plays in organisations and the complement that Mobbeel’s biometric services represent for SIA’s portfolio and, therefore, for Minsait and the Indra Group.
For his part, Mobbeel’s CEO, José Luis Huertas, underlined the commercial growth that the agreement will mean for the company, as well as the possibility of achieving “more ambitious goals”.
ECIJA’s team advising Mobbel was led by partners Alonso Hurtado and Borja Díaz-Guerra.
