DLA Piper advises Shell on the acquisition of PV portfolio in Spain

DLA Piper has advised Shell New Energies Holding Europe B.V. on the acquisition of a platform of ten solar photovoltaic projects from Green Tie Capital in Spain to generate approx. 2 GW of power

The DLA Piper team advising on the transaction was led by José María Gil-Robles, head and partner of Corporate M&A, together with Marta Vizcaíno, of counsel, Héctor Gómez, senior associate, and Ana Izquierdo, associate in Corporate, respectively. Carlos Daza, senior associate, advised on the Regulatory aspects of the transaction.

According to José María Gil-Robles: “We are very satisfied with the outcome. The transaction has been very complex as it took place at different stages of development for the projects and involved several practice areas. Renewable energy is a thriving sector, in which we are proud to be present advising as one of the leading firms.”
