DIKEI mergers with Goñi & Co Abogados

Dikei has announced its merger with Goñi & Co Abogados, a leading firm in Maritime Law, to consolidate its position as a benchmark firm in the transport sector

-

In addition to the extensive and prestigious experience of Manuel Dapena -founding partner of DIKEI Abogados- and his team in the inland passenger transport and port services sector, the expertise of the lawyers of Goñi & Co, a law firm founded by José Luis Goñi and currently headed by Carmen Codes, which has a solid reputation and solvency in the maritime sector, has been added.

Goñi & Co has been involved in major maritime cases such as the “Prestige” or the “Aegean Sea” and in underwater archaeology operations in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic (“Odyssey”).

This latest strategic move by Dikei projects its growth plan by reinforcing one of its best-recognised practice areas, allowing it to expand its services and position itself at the forefront among law firms specialising in the area of national and international land and maritime transport.

“This union is a perfect symbiosis that will allow us to provide comprehensive advice in the transport area based on values shared by both firms, such as excellence, commitment and cohesion of the teams assigned to each matter. At a corporate level, Dikei has projected it as a new growth where we feel very comfortable and allows us to continue providing the best legal advice to our clients in the logistics sector, in accordance with regulatory and market requirements,” explains Rocío Fernández, managing partner of Dikei.

Carmen Codes emphasises that “Dikei adds a wide range of capabilities that result in a greater and broader coverage of the casuistry associated with transport in all its facets.”
