Dentons has assisted Customs Support group with the acquisition of customs and freight forwarding company Transito 2000

With the purchase, Customs Support expands its presence in Spain by adding strategic offices in Europe’s most important logistics hotspots.

Owned by European private equity fund Castik Capital, Customs Support is Europe’s leading digital customs services provider, with over 1500 customs professionals and more than 12,000 customers per year. The company operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, the UK, Poland, Italy, Ireland, Finland, Sweden and Switzerland, providing, among other services, compliance support, import tariff optimisation, tariff planning, and continuous development for an ever-changing customs landscape.

Transito 2000 is a highly recognised customs broker with offices in Algeciras (Cádiz) and the port of Motril (Granada), offering import, export and transit customs services, entry formalities, ATA documents, customs representation, as well as consultancy services to Asia, Central America, South America, West Africa and North Africa. Transito 2000 is AEO and ISO 9001 certified.

The Corporate and M&A department of the Spanish office of Dentons, with a team comprising partners Nieves Briz and Israel de Diego and counsel Natalia Ontiveros, has advised the digital customs services and solutions group Customs Support on the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Transito 2000.
