Dentons advises Applus+ on the acquisition of Colombian K2 Ingeniería

Dentons has advised the Energy & Industry division of Applus+ on the acquisition of 100% of the shares of the Colombian company K2 Ingeniería

K2 is a consulting, monitoring and technology company with a presence in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Guatemala.

K2 has received multiple awards both locally and regionally as a consulting company with a high component of innovation and sustainability, as well as for the constant investments in (R&D) that it has made and developed over the last years, which has represented revenues of 13 million euros for the last year.

The closing of the transaction represents a turning point for Applus+ in its incursion and increases its participation in the Latin American market, as it reinforces its leading position in the field of environmental management.

Dentons’ team of lawyers from Spain, Colombia, Peru and Guatemala advised Applus+ on the cross-border transaction. Partner Diego Pol (Barcelona) acted as the partner responsible for the relationship and was assisted in leading the work in Colombia by partners Bernardo Cardenas, Mauricio Borrero and associate Maria Paula Macias.
