Cuatrecasas counsels Libelium on the acquisition of HOPU, advised by Lexcrea

Cuatrecasas has advised Libelium Comunicaciones Distribuidas S.L. (Libelium) on the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of HOP Ubiquitous S.L. (HOPU), which was advised by Lexcrea

This is the first operation of Libelium after the incorporation of Axon Innovation Growth IV F.C.R. to its shareholding, a further step in its growth plan.

HOPU is a company dedicated to environmental, weather and noise monitoring solutions for Smart Cities. With this acquisition, Libelium enhances its technology portfolio and continues with its goal of leading the IoT solutions sector.

Ángel Modrego, Cuatrecasas director, said: “We are very proud to have contributed to the success of this transaction, which is a very important milestone in Libelium’s history. We hope we can continue to support it in the next stages of its expansion and growth. 

The team involved in the transaction was made up of Cuatrecasas lawyers Ángel Modrego, Ignacio Liria and Rocío Agreda. HOPU has been advised by Lexcrea lawyers Robert Burgell and Vadym Pidhorodetskyy.
