Cuatrecasas counsels Guillén on its 80% stake sale to Grupo Wielton

Cuatrecasas has advised Guillén, S.A., a Valencian manufacturer operating in the semi-trailer market, on the sale of 80% of the shares of Guillén Desarrollos Industriales, S.L. to Grupo Wielton

-

Grupo Wielton is the third-largest semi-trailer manufacturer in Europe. With this transaction, the Polish company Wielton enters strongly into the Spanish market and succeeds in continuing its expansion strategy.

The managing director of Grupo Guillén, José Luis Guillén, will lead the business integration process and will continue to manage the company. With this partnership, Guillén will be able to fully exploit its growth potential under the Wielton Group, expanding its product portfolio and strengthening its position in the procurement of raw materials and components.

The Spanish company has also sold Nextrailer Rent, SL, its sales and rental unit, to TIP Trailer Services, a leading provider of semi-trailer leasing, rental, maintenance and repair services in Europe and Canada.

These two operations will allow Grupo Guillén to take advantage of various synergies both in the production of trailers with Wielton and in the rental and leasing business with TIP Trailer Services.

The team involved in the transactions was made up of Cuatrecasas partners Juan Grima, Pablo Cubel, Megan Hackney and Irene Rubio.
