Crossmint hires head of Legal from Cuatrecasas

Crossmint has appointed Miguel Ángel Zapatero, until now an associate at Cuatrecasas Málaga office, as its new head of Legal

-

A Palencia-born lawyer, he has extensive experience in the Commercial and Technology fields and is specialised in contract negotiation in various areas.

Miguel Ángel joins Crossmint from Cuatrecasas, where he has been an associate for almost five years, specialising in Corporate Law, Real Estate, Technology, External Counselling, Commercial Centres, and Contracts in general.

He has been appointed as legal director of Crossmint, both in its North American parent company and in the European (Spanish) subsidiary, where his mission will be, among others, “helping to build the future of NFTs from a legal perspective.”

He holds a bilingual double degree in Law and Business Administration from the Universidad de Navarra. During his years in Pamplona, he also studied at Bentley University in Boston and New York University.

According to Zapatero: “Crossmint is the leading platform for automated NFT minting, trusted by over 5000 creators and companies, including Magic Eden, Kevin Hart, and Sylvester Stallone. It allows anyone to buy NFT in a minute, even if they don’t have a wallet, with just their credit card and an email address. For NFT sellers, setup takes less than 5 minutes, is free, and increases minting volume by 25-50%.”
