Amelia has more 20 years of national and international experience in management positions, combining in-house legal counsel departments in companies such as Banesto and Banco Santander with her experience at top-level external law firms Uría Menéndez and Gómez-Acebo & Pombo. She has also been Deputy Secretary of the Board of Directors of the regulated financial institution Santander Investment, S.A. and Secretary of the Board of Directors of several companies. She joins Cogen Energía Group from Garrido Abogados, where she was a partner and head of Corporate for the last professional period.
Buergo is a Law and Business Administration and Management graduate from ICADE, and she also holds a PDD from IE Business School.
Cogen Energía Group is formed by 10 companies and belongs to the Swiss energy group MET Group since the end of 2021, which strategy is to expand in Spain through Grupo Cogen.
