CMS Spain hires BD, Marketing and Communication director from B&B

CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo has incorporated Catalina de Pablos, who joins from Bird & Bird, as its Business Development, Marketing, and Communication director

-

Her incorporation is part of the strategy to continue strengthening the management of its support areas, in line with the firm’s strategic plan.

Catalina joins the firm after more than 20 years of professional career, 15 of which were dedicated to the practice of Law. Since 2015, she has focused her career on the business development of law firms, firstly as head of business development at Broseta Abogados and more recently as director of Business Development, Communication, and Marketing at Bird & Bird Spain.

She specialises in designing and implementing the business development strategy of law firms, aligning the commercial activity of the firm with the business development strategy. She focuses mainly on improving cross-selling (local and international), identifying new business opportunities, capturing clients, and segmenting the firm’s client portfolio.

Her training combines a legal background (Law degree from the University Jaime I of Castellón and three postgraduate studies in legal consultancy in different specialities) with her own sales training, Marketing and Business Development, achieved with executive programmes at IESE and ESADE.

Catalina will work closely with the partners and with CMS Legal to manage the Marketing and Communication activities, but especially to promote and strengthen the firm’s business development initiatives both nationally and internationally.

César Albiñana commented: “We believe that Catalina’s incorporation will allow us to improve the firm’s position in the market, as well as to persevere in the business objectives set out in our strategic plan.”

Catalina de Pablos, for her part, pointed out that: “I am very much looking forward to starting this journey with CMS, its current moment of growth, the energy and drive that I perceive from the partners, together with my professional background, I believe that they will be a good combination for the firm to continue to grow with a strategic focus.”
