The sale was structured as an asset deal and involved negotiations with the main customers, suppliers and employees of the unit.
Plastic Omnium, S.A., is a subsidiary of a French industrial group whose parent company Compagnie Plastic Omnium is listed on the Paris Stock Exchange and is considered a key player in the automotive industry. It operates 131 plants and is present in 26 countries.
The buyer, Grupo Segura, is an industrial group dedicated to the design, development and manufacture of metal components for the automotive industry, mainly through stamping and welding processes.
According to CMS, this operation reinforces its positioning in the automotive sector, not only advising manufacturers and distributors of the main brands but also manufacturers and suppliers of parts.
