KKR, through its Global Impact fund, has acquired the entire share capital of Implika Educación Group, which was owned by the private equity fund Suma Capital.
Implika Educación is an educational group dedicated to formal and informal vocational training, with a strong presence throughout Spain (especially in the Basque Country, Madrid, Catalonia and Valencia), and comprising three companies and a foundation.
The operation has been instrumented through the MasterD group (owned by KKR), which, through this transaction, expands its range of services in the market for classroom and distance education, and continues to consolidate its unstoppable career as a national leader in the sector.
Following the latest acquisitions of ITEP Formación and Formacciona (March and October 2021), this is the third transaction in which the Firm advises KKR in the education sector, demonstrating the high degree of specialisation acquired in the business.
The transaction has been led by Corporate/M&A partner Ignacio Cerrato, together with associates Macarena Méndez and Álvaro García-Pelayo.
