CMS appoints Elena Aguilar co-head of Infrastructure and Projects Group

CMS has appointed Elena Aguilar as the new co-head of the Infrastructure and Projects group, alongside Jeroen Berlage, partner in CMS' Netherlands office

CMS has announced new heads for four of its international expertise groups. All CMS lawyers work in cross-border groups across more than 40 countries worldwide that are structured according to the industries in which our clients operate.

Among these appointments, Elena Aguilar Corporate / M&A CMS Spain office partner, has been appointed as the new co-head of the Infrastructure and Projects group, alongside Jeroen Berlage, partner in CMS’ Netherlands office.

Elena Aguilar has been a partner in the Corporate / M&A department of CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo since October 2020. She specialises in corporate law and in particular in advising on M&A transactions and has extensive international experience advising companies and Infrastructure / Private Equity funds on complex domestic and cross-border transactions.

As part of her international career, Elena has spent part of her professional career in the Buenos Aires (Argentina) office of a prestigious Spanish law firm, having advised foreign investors in their operations in Latin America.

Jeroen Berlage specialises in international transactions, litigation, and arbitration related to infrastructure, construction, and real estate law.
