CMS advises PIB on Fidentia acquisition

CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo has advised PIB Group on the acquisition of the Fidentia client portfolio

-

The Insurance, Reinsurance and Innovation team of CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo has advised PIB Group on the incorporation of the business of Fidentia Hispana Correduría de Seguros, a firm with experience in the aviation, jewellery and construction sectors, into its operations in Spain.

Fidentia’s CEO is Miguel Calvo, who will continue to lead the business to develop PIB Group’s even stronger presence in the aviation and jewellery sectors. “This is a special moment for our team as we become part of a larger company. Fidentia’s track record brings to PIB Group a strong presence and in-depth knowledge of the aviation and jewellery sectors. We have a large number of long-term clients, some of whom have been with us for more than 30 years, who are testimony to the commitment and success of the Fidentia team. Becoming part of PIB Group is a natural step in our evolution,” Calvo said.

The team advising PIB Group included partner Jaime Bofill, senior associate Guillermo Ruiz Barrilero, and associates Andrea Campos and Ana Pellejero, the same team that advised the British group on the acquisition of the Confide brokerage last July and Engloba in October.

Since its creation in 2015, PIB Group’s business has grown rapidly in the UK and Europe, where it has acquired almost 80 companies.
