Clara Alcaraz is a specialist in Public Law and Regulated Sectors. She provides legal advice in matters related to the regulation of the energy sector (electricity, gas and hydrocarbons and, more recently, green hydrogen), the telecommunications sector, transports, environment and urban planning.
She also provides regular advice in relation to sanctioning procedures handled by the Spanish Regulatory Authority for restrictive practices or State aids and provide regulatory advise in all kind of corporate deals in the energy, health, environment, public infrastructure and administrative contracting sectors.
At Clifford Chance, she was part of the team that successfully represented Endesa before the Supreme Court, obtaining the second favourable judgement for the department under the new cassation appeal regime.
Clara is a Law graduate from Universidad CEU San Pablo. She joined Gómez-Acebo & Pombo in 2022 and later Clifford Chance in 2005, from where she now joins KPMG Abogados as a partner to head the firm´s Public Law department in Madrid.
