Carmen is an international lawyer, Spain and Florida qualified, with experience in advising both private equity funds and corporates within the M&A industry, leading teams with solid commercial activity.
Carmen has been involved in numerous transactions advising in the energy (renewable energy in particular), telecom, media and technology, industrial and healthcare sectors. She has strong experience in cross-border deals in EMEA, LATAM and the US.
At Latham & Watkins, she was part of the teams that advised Antin on strategic partnership with Blue Elephant Energy, or Lineage Logistics Holdings on the acquisition of Transportes Fuentes, among others. From Linklaters, she advised Globalvia on the €1billion sale of Air Europa to Iberia, and Cupa Group and its shareholder Carlyle on the acquisition of Pizarras Gallegas.
Carmen strarted her career as an Immigration Attorney at Gulfcoast Legal Services in Florida, ad joined Linklaters Spain in 2017, where she worked as a Corporate/M&A lawyer for more than four years, joining Latham & Watkins in January 2022, from where she now joins the Energy multinational as M&A Legal counsel.
Carmen holds a Law degree from Universidad de Granada, took her Master´s degree in Access to the Legal Profession at Universidad Pontificia Comillas, and holds a Master´s degree in Global Business Law from ESADE. She became in 2013 the first international student representing Stetson Law in an international Moot Court competition in Hong Kong.
