After nine years working at RocaJunyent as a partner, Àlex Santacana Folgueroles joins Ceca Magán Abogados as a partner in the Labour department of the Barcelona office, joining the staff currently made up of more than 40 labour lawyers at the national level, together with part of his team: Albert Toledo, as director in the labour department, and Rut Villalonga, as an associate.
A specialist in collective bargaining and Labour Litigation, Alex has handled more than 100 redundancy processes throughout his career, including that of the now-defunct Unión Democrática de Catalunya. He is also recognised for his work in the design of internal policies for companies and complex mandates such as the negotiation of agreements or the implementation of equality plans.
A graduate in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, he has extensive experience in Labour matters and Labour relations in the banking, automotive and retail sectors, having worked in the past as a Labour lawyer for the former “La Caixa”.
In his career, he spent the last nine years managing the Labour department of Roca Junyent, a firm in which he managed the entry of the area and its consolidation as a reference for the international directory Chambers & Partners. His clients define him as “an enthusiast for knowing the needs of the companies he works with and contributing his experience to them”.
