Barter has entered the electric mobility sector with the acquisition of Blaudrive, which will enable it to offer its customers charging services for electric vehicles, the company announced. In this way, the company takes a further step in its strategy with Blaudrive, which is integrated by contributing its experience in the sector, to achieve the development of an ultrafast recharging network linked to local solar generation.
Barter’s CEO, Isabel Reija, indicated that this initiative “is part of the company’s various strategies to democratise solar energy by offering additional services to solar communities”. Blaudrive, for its part, brings more than 10 years of experience in the sector, during which it has developed projects for both private electric vehicle fleets and on-street chargers in the main Spanish capitals.
The founder of Blaudrive and new commercial director of Barter, Sergio Lebrón, said he was “delighted” to join a project that allows “us to be even more ambitious in the development of the charging network and also to be able to offer our customers the added benefit of solar energy”.
The transaction has been carried out with the advice of Kira Ventures, a partner of the company, and legal advice from Cazorla Abogados (Barter), Uría Menéndez (Asterion) and RCD (Blaudrive).
Cazorla advised Barter with partner Luis Cazorla and associate Pablo del Baño.
DWF-RCD advised Blaudrive with a team led by partner Óscar Alegre.
Uría Menéndez advised Asterion Industrial Partners, shareholder of Barter, which reinforces its investment commitment with Barter and the energy transition, betting on electric mobility in Spain.
