The code is a compendium of the main national and European Legal and Regulatory normative of interest for six sectors: Cartography and Geographic Information, Topography, Law, Notaries, Real Estate Registry and Land Registry.

The Geospatial Code has meant the consolidation by the BOE (Spain´s official gazette) of the more than one hundred standards it incorporates in the six dimensions indicated and the availability of more than one hundred standards with hyperlinked index, normative references and updated analysis.
