BNP Paribas Personal Finance adds counsel from Ramón y Cajal

BNP Paribas Personal Finance has hired Marta Cerqueira as a counsel for its Legal team

Marta joins BNP Paribas from Ramón y Cajal where she has been working for the last three years. Previously she worked for two years at 4Finance Spain as Legal & Compliance manager. During her training years, she gained experience at law firms such as Garrigues, Cornejo Molins Abogados, and companies such as Equifax Iberia.

She describes herself as “a highly motivated Legal Advisor with over five years of experience working within the financial sector and digital business, giving advice about Privacy & Data Protection, Financial Regulation, and Contractual Matters.”

She gained previous experience, in high-level institutions, that has given her the ability to work individually or collectively as part of a team, be effective under pressure, and experience meeting deadlines. She has a proven track record of negotiations, particularly suited to environments facing challenging situations.

She is a Law graduate from the Universidad CEU San Palo where she also obtained her LL.M. in Data Protection, Transparency, and Access to Information. Google Chair, Law.
