Dolores Alemany and Rafael Muñoz de la Espada join BDO Lawyers together with a team of nine professionals with consolidated experience in legal advice on Restructuring and Insolvency, Corporate Law and M&A, as well as the Labour Law practice.
BDO Lawyers thus reinforces its legal team in Madrid in view of the expected increase in the number of cases in which advice will be required in debt restructuring processes, defence of clients involved in insolvency proceedings or situations, as well as litigation in the commercial field. The growth of BDO Legal in recent years has been the result of the incorporation of specialised professionals with extensive professional experience, together with a team of more than 500 professionals between the offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, covering all areas of legal advice for businesses, with a focus on proximity, trust and agility in the provision of services, with the international capacity of one of the largest global professional services firms with a presence in more than 165 countries.
The founding partners of AME Legal are Dolores Alemany Pozuelo, head of the Insolvency and Restructuring and Commercial Law Departments, and Rafael Muñoz de la Espada Palomino, head of the Labour Law and Litigation Departments, both with more than 25 years of professional experience in various prestigious law firms and thirteen years of consolidated experience in Alemany & Muñoz de la Espada.
Dolores Alemany, who joins BDO as head of the Restructuring and Insolvency practice in Madrid, is a graduate in Law, holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Legal Consultancy from IE, a diploma in Tax Studies from CETE, teaches on the Master’s degree in Corporate Responsibility at the Antonio de Nebrija University, and is a speaker at various insolvency forums and author of numerous articles and publications. She is currently vice-president of the Belgian and Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Spain and insolvency and judicial administrator.
For his part, Rafael Muñoz de la Espada, a lawyer with extensive experience in relevant corporate restructuring, is a lawyer for various public entities and a lecturer at various business schools. He has been awarded the honorary presidency of the Belgian and Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Spain and of the Spanish-Dutch Business Forum.
