Grupo Athisa has been acquired by SASTI a company portfolio of Ufenau Capital Partners. Grupo Athisa is a leading pest control and animal protection company focused on public administration, a leader in the south of Spain and with 175 employees.

Ufenau Capital Partners is a Swiss investment group based near Lake Zurich. Ufenau focuses on majority investments and buy&build strategies in service companies in the DACH region as well as Iberia.

Manuel Bueno, general manager of Athisa, said: “BDO has contributed very positively throughout the entire competitive process, having prepared marketing materials identifying the company’s key areas that have significantly helped to optimize the offers received and for them to be confirmed after the Due Diligence phase, in addition to having assisted the company all along the process up to the closing of the transaction. Having the advice of BDO has given the company a relevant degree of comfort in all the steps that were taken in the transaction.”

“BDO Spain M&A department has been pleased to advise on the integration of Athisa and EZSA Sanidad Ambiental into the SASTI Group, a portfolio company of Ufenau Capital Partners AG. Thus, the SASTI Group, specialised in industrial cleaning services, incorporates two leading companies in the pest control sector with more than 300 employees and presence throughout the Iberian Peninsula,” said Víctor Estévez Hernández, BDO M&A manager in Madrid.
