BDO adds Legal Ops manager from KPMG

BDO Spain has hired Ana Burbano as Legal Operations manager, joining from KPMG, where she worked in the Big Four´s Legal Operations & Transformation Services (LOTS) area

Ana Burbano joins BDO Spain from KPMG´s Legal Operations & Transformation Services (LOTS) area. She is a specialist in Legal Tech and digital transformation of legal services with more than 14 years of experience in the sector. As a legal services and Legal Tech professional, she has worked in leading national (Garrigues and Cuatrecasas) and international (Allen & Overy) law firms, as well as in private companies and public sector entities.

Ana has been part of projects in different legal disciplines and has led pioneering initiatives incorporating the design and development of legal software, process automation and optimisation, Contract Lifecycle Management, digital signature, Artificial Intelligence for legal services and change management, among others.

Ana holds a degree in Law and a degree in Political Science and Administration from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a PhD in New Technologies and International Relations from the Faculty of Law of Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and different Master´s degrees related to New Technologies Law, AI, Blockchain and Innovation. She is a member of relevant Legal Tech organisations such as the European Legal Tech Association (ELTA), Woman in a Legal World (WLW), the Observatory on the Ethical and Social Impact of AI (OdiseIA), and the Robotics & IA Law Society (RAIS). She is also a member of CLOC (Corporate Legal Operations Consortium).
